Finding a new dentist can feel like a big decision. You want to know that you’ll be heard, treated with respect, and given care that fits your needs. At Shin Dentistry, we know everyone’s dental care experience is different, so our goal is to help you feel comfortable from your first visit.
Since 2003, Dr. Charles Shin and our team have been caring for patients and families in Stouffville and the surrounding communities. Whether you’ve recently moved to the area, are looking for a new dental home for your family, or simply feel that it’s time for a change, you’re welcome here.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through our doors. We’ll listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and help you understand what comes next.
Your First Visit
Your first appointment gives us a chance to get to know you, understand your dental and medical history, and learn about any concerns or goals you may have.
For many new patients, the first visit includes a comprehensive dental exam. We’ll assess your teeth, gums, bite, jaw, and other areas of your mouth to get a clear picture of your oral health. We may also take digital X-rays or photographs when needed.
If we notice something that needs attention, we’ll explain what we find in simple terms and discuss your treatment options. We’ll give you the information you need to make informed decisions about your dental care.
Care for Every Stage of Life
Dental needs change throughout life, which is why having a dental team that can care for your family over the years can make things easier. At Shin Dentistry, we welcome patients of all ages and provide a broad range of dental services in one office.
Our care includes preventive and restorative dentistry, Invisalign and other orthodontic options, CEREC same-day crowns, emergency dental care, therapeutic Botox®, and more.
If you’re dealing with a damaged tooth, considering a straighter smile, or simply want to stay on top of your oral health, we’ll help you understand the options that may be appropriate for you.
If you’re experiencing a dental emergency, we also do our best to accommodate same-day appointments, including for new patients.
Understanding Your Coverage
Dental coverage can sometimes be confusing. Shin Dentistry welcomes eligible patients through the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and works with patients who have private dental insurance.
Coverage and out-of-pocket costs will depend on your individual plan. If you have questions before your appointment, our team can help you understand what to check with your insurance provider and discuss available payment options.

Shin Dentistry is located at East End Corners Plaza, 12287 Tenth Line, Unit 5, Stouffville, ON L4A 0Y1, near the corner of Main Street and Tenth Line.
Parking is available directly in front of the practice.
We welcome patients from Stouffville, Aurora, Newmarket, East Gwillimbury, and surrounding communities.
For added flexibility, we offer evening appointments until 8 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
