Caring for Stouffville Smiles Since 2003
Since 2003, Shin Dentistry has been part of the Stouffville community, helping patients and families care for their smiles through every stage of life. Founded by Dr. Charles Shin, our dental practice has built long-standing relationships with patients throughout Stouffville and the surrounding area.
We know that going to the dentist can feel different for everyone. Some patients are comfortable with regular visits, while others may feel nervous or have been putting off an appointment. Whatever brings you through our doors, our goal is to make your experience as comfortable, straightforward, and positive as possible.
We believe good dentistry starts with listening. Before recommending treatment, we take the time to understand your concerns, your goals, and what matters most to you. From routine checkups to more involved dental care, we take a thoughtful approach to helping you maintain your oral health.
Dental Care for Every Stage of Life
Dental needs change over time, and having a dental team you know can make those changes easier to manage. At Shin Dentistry, we care for patients as young as 8 months old through adulthood, so families can receive dental care in one familiar office.
We provide preventive, restorative, cosmetic, orthodontic, and other dental services under one roof. Depending on your needs, your care may include routine exams and cleanings, fillings, dental implants, root canal treatment, Invisalign or other orthodontic options, veneers, dentures, and more.
For damaged or weakened teeth, our in-office CEREC technology allows us to design and create many custom restorations without sending them to an outside laboratory. In many cases, we can complete a dental crown in a single appointment.
Dental emergencies can also happen without warning. We do our best to accommodate emergency patients the same day, including new patients, so you have somewhere to turn when an unexpected dental problem arises.
Modern Technology With a Personal Approach
We invest in dental technology when it can help us diagnose, plan, or provide treatment more efficiently and comfortably.
Our iTero intraoral scanner creates detailed 3D images of your teeth and gums for treatment planning and to visualize potential orthodontic outcomes. Digital X-rays provide detailed images that help us assess areas we can’t see during a visual examination. CEREC technology allows us to digitally design and create restorations right in our office.
We also offer therapeutic Botox® for appropriate patients experiencing concerns related to bruxism, including teeth grinding, clenching, jaw tension, and related discomfort. Treatment recommendations are always based on your individual needs and a careful assessment.
Meet Dr. Charles Shin
Dr. Charles Shin graduated from the University of Western Ontario’s School of Dentistry in 1999. After practising in Burlington, Ontario, he moved to Stouffville and opened Shin Dentistry in 2003.
Throughout his career, Dr. Shin has continued to expand his knowledge through advanced education and training, including studies at the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies. He is also a graduate of the Pacific Training Institute for Facial Aesthetics & Therapeutics, with training related to the therapeutic use of botulinum toxin.
His approach to dentistry centres on understanding each patient’s concerns, explaining their options, and helping them make informed decisions about their oral health.
Proud to Serve Our Community
Our office is located at East End Corners Plaza, 12287 Tenth Line, Unit 5, in Stouffville, near the corner of Main Street and Tenth Line. Parking is available directly in front of the practice.
We welcome patients from Stouffville, Aurora, Newmarket, East Gwillimbury, and surrounding communities. Evening appointments are available until 8 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, giving patients and families more flexibility when scheduling dental care.
We also serve eligible patients through the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Patients with private dental insurance may have coverage for different types of care depending on their individual plan, and our team can discuss payment options for remaining out-of-pocket costs.
